Augustin Purnus PhD is Associate Professor of Construction Management at the Technical University of Civil Engineering, Bucharest, in Construction Management Department. He received his PhD in Hydraulic Structures in 1996 at the Technical University of Civil Engineering, Bucharest. Mr. Purnus is the promoter, founder and past president of PMI Romania Chapter. With an experience of 30 years gained in various type of projects as designer, construction manager, project manager and consultant in project management, Dr. Purnus holds a Project Manager Professional (PMI) and Certified Senior Project Manager (IPMA) certification. He published as author and co-author of 10 books and more than 100 publications in refereed journals and conferences. His research areas are scheduling, resource optimization, cost engineering, project and portfolio risk management in the field of project management.
